Christopher Joseph Lane, 44, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away January 30, 2017. He was born on November 18, 1972 in Columbia, South Carolina to Gregory Lane and Linda (Bell) Lopez. Christopher, also known as "Bo Lane", Bulldog, and Big Skinny, was a master plumber and loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Christopher loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ. Christopher was an amazing father who loved and cared for his family. He spent time caring for his children and his grandmother, Nanny Bell. Christopher liked to cook. He loved to hunt and fish. Watching Clemson football was a past-time that he loved. Christopher is survived by his mother, Linda Josephine Lopez; children, Christopher Thomas Lane and Caitlyn Elizabeth Lane; grandmother, Nanny Bell; siblings, Phillip Lopez and Lauren Lopez; a number of loving aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Stewart Lane and his brother, Jimmy Farmer. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, South Carolina on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 PM. The family would like to thank Laura Lloyd for her compassionate care of Chris during the last couple of months. Your kindness will be forever remembered.
