Aaron "Harold" Rice
August 29th, 1933 - January 27th, 2017
Harold Rice, 83, of Cayce, SC passed away peacefully on January 27, 2017. He was born in Bamberg, SC, to the late Aaron and Caroline Rice. Harold graduated in 1952 from Carlisle Military School in Bamberg, SC and he attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC for two years. Harold served in the Air Force for several years. He was a manager for Piggly Wiggly for over 40 years, bringing joy to customers. He will be missed by the many he touched through the years. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elaine; his son, Aaron (Sarah) Rice of West Columbia; and daughter, Nancy (Larry) McCrae of Mt. Pleasant, SC, 4 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 2 great-grandsons. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Noon. Interment will take place in South End Cemetery in Bamberg, SC.
