Robert Rivera

Robert Rivera was born in Bronx, New York on July 1st, 1954. Sadly he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2014 and passed away at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Denver, Colorado on April 14th, 2015 with family members at his bed side. Robert was such a joy to be around. He was very compassionate, kind, patient, understanding, generous, good sense of humor, and loved to prank everyone. He was such a great brother, relative, and a good friend to all who knew him. Robert grew up in Bronx and served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was an emergency room clerk at Rideout Memorial Hospital in California for many years before relocating to Colorado in 1996 to live with his sister Gloria and family. He attended the College of America – Denver graduating Magnum Cum Laude with a degree in Occupational Studies Medical Specialties in 2005. He found enjoyment working in various retail sales and was very well like by his customers. Robert is survived by two sisters Elaine Rivera of Puerto Rico and Gloria Johnson (and husband John R.) of Colorado, one nephew John M. Johnson of Colorado, one niece Danica Huddleston (and husband Jason) of Kansas, and beloved great-nephew and great-nieces Hayden, Addyson, Brooklyn, and Jasmyn of Kansas.
