John "Jack" Lewis Hester, III, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Born September 3, 1935 in Columbia he was the son of the late John Lewis Hester, II and Page Lane Steinert. John retired from the City of Columbia where he worked in the Motor Pool for many years. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family. Interment will be private with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
