Charles Schull

Charles passed away at his home on September 25, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Services will be held at Amazing Grace Community Church, 541 East 99th Place Thornton, CO 80229. A viewing will be held at one o’clock with services at two o’clock. Charles Haskell Schull was born May 8, 1947 to Wallace D. Elkins and Drebon Louise Elkins in Fort Worth, Texas. Charles was the second eldest of five and raised in a military family. In 1966, Charles answered the call of his country during the Vietnam War by enlisting in to the United States Air Force. He served as a Combat Controller and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant after 4 years of service due to wounds received during combat. Following his time in service, Charles attended college and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. On March 5, 1969, Charles welcomed the first of his three children, Rickey Don Schull. On September 15, 1971, he welcomed his second son, James Dean Schull and on May 13, 1991, he welcomed his youngest son, Charles Rex Schull. In March of 1998, Charles met his wife of 14+ years, Doris Louise Schull (Lynn), and on March 5, 2000 they were married. Charles was a loving and inviting man who welcomed three new children into his life with open arms on that day; Sonja Marie Smith, Richard Dane Mendez, and Robbie Eugene Wagner. He is remembered by; his loving wife Doris Schull, his sisters Cindy Rhoden, Linda Geis, Ruby Rockwell (deceased) and brother Wallace Elkins Jr, proud children; Rickey Don Schull, James Schull, Charles Schull, Richard Mendez, Sonja Smith, Robbie Wagner, their supportive families, and his two spoiled dogs; Keesha and Shadow.
