Jimmy Eugene “Jim” Thorell died February 7, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Holdrege, Nebraska, to Earl A. and Lenore E. (Anderson) Thorell. Survivors include his wife Karen; three sons and their families: Michael (Elizabeth) Thorell and daughters Lauren and Alexandra of Scottsdale, AZ; Gregory (Amy) and children Emma and Jack of Phoenix, AZ; William (Angela) and sons Evan and Brett of Omaha, NE; one sister, Gloria (Harry) Mitchell of Kearney, NE; three brothers: Stuart (Robin) of Waterford, MI; Harold (Vera) of Seward, NE; Dennis (Nancy) of Lexington, NE; two sisters-in-law: Kaye (Ted) Hempel of Alliance, NE, and Kathy (Don) Graham of Scottsbluff, NE; his mother-in-law Jayne Schnurr of Alliance, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law William (Bill) Schnurr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Denver Zoological Foundation 2300 Steele Street Denver, CO 80205 Lewy Body Dementia Association 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Suite 202C Atlanta, GA 30047 Or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
