David Thayer, 80 of Littleton passed on Friday June 23rd, after a long illness. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Ada and Franklin Thayer. He enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating high school. After breaking the rifle range record, he worked as an instructor in California until his honorable discharge. He attended the University of Colorado earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He retired from Security Life of Denver and then worked for the State of Colorado. He was an avid fly fisherman, duplicate Bridge enthusiast and a lifelong Bronco Fan. David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rena, Sons, Bruce and Bret, Stepchildren, Duncan and Diane, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a Veteran’s organization.
