Felix Velasquez
May 27th, 1928 - December 1st, 2013
Felix P. Velasquez, 85, of Denver Colorado, lost his battle with lung cancer and passed away on December 1, 2013. Felix was born May 27, 1928 in Mosquero New Mexico to Aurelia and Benito Velasquez. Felix married Beatrice Salas, and had seven children, Richard Velasquez (deceased), Joey Velasquez ( deceased), Marilyn Simon, Billy Velasquez, Harold Velasquez, Wendy Colson (deceased), and Anthony Velasquez. Felix is also survived by the following grandchildren: Rich Velasquez, Tracey Velasquez, Alyssa Sanders, JJ Simon, Danny Holquin, Chelsea Velasquez, Landon Velasquez, Taylor Velasquez, Tanner Velasquez, Ian Colson, Brittany Velasquez, Bryson Velasquez, Brennan Velasquez. Also by the following great grandchildren: Connor Sanders, Brady Sanders, Ayden Velasquez, Desiree Velasquez, Myka Velasquez, Jazmyne Holquin, Anyssa Holquin, and Isabella Holquin. Felix served honorably in the Air Force, and later worked for the Union Pacific. Felix and Beatrice divorced, and he later married Jean. Felix is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank Velasquez, John Velasquez, Siquiel Velasquez, Junior Velasquez Leo Velasquez, Rosella Valencia, Mary Chavez, and Susie Velasquez, including numerous nieces and nephews. Our sincere thanks to all the many relatives and friends who supported our dad throughout his battle with lung cancer. Your kindness will always be remembered and appreciated in our hearts. The service will be on December 20th, at Fort Logan Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 1:00 at All Saints Church, 2559 So. Federal Blvd. We invite you to join us for a small reception in the lower level of the church following the mass, so that we may have the opportunity to celebrate the life of Felix P. Velasquez.
