Thomas Cauch
January 15th, 1947 - August 28th, 2016
Thomas Tyson Cauch was born January 15, 1947 in Berlin, Germany where his family was stationed during the Reconstruction after the war. His parents were Jack K. and Flo Ella Cauch. Tom followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Army. He served in Vietnam and was a Registered Nurse/Medic. His bravery during the war earned him a Purple Heart. Coming home, he was stationed in Fort Fitzsimons in Denver and was honorably discharged in 1969. After the service he started his family with his daughter Ella (Cauch) Maldonado. Later, he extended his family by adding two step-daughters Kayte Nelson and Jessica Kloeppel and having another daughter Dianna Cauch. These girls were his pride and joy and his love of family continued when they had children of their own. Tom loved his grandchildren wholeheartedly. Ella’s daughters Adell Brooks, Andrea Krempel, and Ariah Brooks. Jessica’s sons Cameron and Brennan Kloeppel, Dianna’s children Sheen Silvers and Samara McKamey, Tom also doted on several great-grandchildren: Isaiah Perez, Anthony Bath Jr., Mya Brooks, Gabriel and Dominic Krempel, and Camdyn Maldonado. Tom worked as an Independent Contractor in the construction field, but his passion was football and softball. He played for decades and had over a hundred trophies… most larger than his great-grandchildren. His home was the hub of family gatherings from weddings to birthday parties. His generous heart will be missed. He was a dedicated member of Mile High Church for over a decade and had found a home there. His main accomplishment however was later in his life when he was the sole provider and care giver to his two grandchildren Shean and Samara. They were the light of his heart and kept him young. After a long and brave fight with cancer, Tom passed away at his home on August 28, 2016. Tom is also survived by his father, Jack Kemper Cauch of Federal Heights, CO, his sister Jacqueline Diana Cauch of Paducah, KY, and his two brothers Steven Lindell Cauch of Federal Heights, CO and Douglas Norman Cauch of Sacramento, CA., as well as his uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
