Memorial

Ruth Anderson was born on September 18, 1927 and passed away on November 3, 2015, having lived 88 years, one month and 16 days. Her parents were Karl Joseph Youngstrom and Sofia Larson Youngstrom who were Swedish Immigrants that made their home in Chicago, IL. Karl and Sofia had five children; 3 girls and 2 boys; Ingrid, Martha, Alf, William (Bill) and Ruth who was the youngest. She was preceded in death by her family. Ruth Youngstrom Anderson was united in marriage to Clifford E. Anderson upon his return from the service during World War II. On June 14th of this year they celebrated 68 years of marriage. Clif and Ruth had four children; a baby son who died in infancy (Kenneth), two sons and one daughter; David Wayne (married to Deborah), Joyce Ruth (married to Craig) and Steven Glen. Ruth would proudly announce to others she had nine grandchildren – Nathan, Chad, Nicolle, Melissa, Kaitlin, Ethan, Nicolas, Kinsey, and Olivia and nine great grandchildren – Charles, Gretta, Nico, Mila, Adelaide, Vesper, Samuel, Aurum and Caroline. Ruth had a “servant’s spirit” who selflessly worked to help her husband obtain his many degrees. She was the rock that held down the home front and her strength allowed her husband the freedom to put in the long hours necessary when ministering to three different churches and traveling all over the world serving the Lord. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family with every fiber of her being. She never forgot a birthday, holiday or special occasion. Her faith was unshaken, right to the end. Her well worn bible (hold up her bible) with so many passages underlined and comments written in the margins, attests to it being her foundation and compass in life. She believed every word.
