Timothy Cassel
September 25th, 1954 - December 9th, 2017
Timothy Cassel passed away on Dec 9, 2017, at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on September 25, 1954, in Cheyenne and grew up in Horse Creek, Wyoming and surrounding areas. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs. He joined the Army, January 31, 1973. He graduated St. Mary’s High School August 23, 1974, one year after joining. Tim met the love of his life, Carolyn, in 1980 and they were married in 1984. Tim spent most of his life in the auto mechanic industry. Tims favorite hobbies were car racing in all its forms, watching and racing. He played in a bowling league and loved to play golf in his spare time. He rooted for the Buccaneers every season. He was an active volunteer in the community, raising funds for the Children’s Hospital. He also did volunteer work for Disabled Vets, Special Olympics, and he was in the process to become a volunteer firefighter. Timothy is survived by his wife, Carolyn. His children Joshua/Britteny, Russell/Yvonne, David/Yong. By 6 grandchildren; Brianna, Megan, Lauren Chalifour and Brendan, Logan, and Dylan Cassel. Also survived by stepfather Phil Brownell. Siblings; Connie McCaslin, Sid Cassel, Gail Cassel, Mary-Robin Dolan, Kashawna White, Bonnie Greaber. Proceeded in death by his father Glenn Arthur Cassel, mother Mary Lee Brownell, and brother Terry Cassel. Timothy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and volunteer in the community. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation to be made in Timothy’s name to the Memorial Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs.
