Ronald L. Arts, 46, went to his Heavenly home. He peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side in Thornton, CO on November 7th, 2017. A veteran of Desert Storm, he was assigned Navy Boatswain’s mate aboard guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill. He was stationed in the Persian Gulf near Kuwait and later stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. Ronald was the youngest sailor to take special lifesaving training. Ronnie was born on November 30th, 1970 in California to Ronald W. and Jeanne Arts. After serving in the Navy, Ronnie found a passion for learning and pursued and attained his Associates of Arts Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. In his most recent years, Ronnie turned his life and devotion to the Lord. He was baptized at Thorncreek Church in Thornton and spent much of his time reading scripture. He frequently attended church services and spent time reflecting on the Lord’s message. Ronnie will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and father, dedicated Christian, devoted Raiders fan, and an amazing cook that enjoyed fishing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and found pride in his workmanship. He is survived by his parents Ronald W. and Jean, his loving wife, Deena; his daughters, Amanda and Ashley, his sister Brenda, and his brother Kevin.
