James “JP” Patrick Allen, beloved son of the late Harold Shea and Lillian Ramsey Allen formerly of Burlington, Vermont; survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Christina Moore Allen; beloved brother John Allen, Charlotte, Vermont; and beloved sister Kathryn Allen Osgood of Greenfield, New Hampshire. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves and enlisted in the U.S. Navy as supply officer on the CP Cecil destroyer during the VietNam war. James graduated from Rice Memorial High School in Burlington, Vermont in 1964, Champlain College in 1967 with honors and is a 1974 graduate of Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont. James began his financial career as stockbroker for Merrill Lynch & EF Hutton in Denver, Colorado until 1979, before moving to JP Morgan Bank in New York, NY in 1979 until 1981, when he moved to Salomon Bros. in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as Senior Executive Real Estate Department. James was an avid reader, admired for his great mind, he was a member of Toastmasters for 35 years; he loved to travel and was self-employed as a financial advisor until his untimely death on 1/10/2012 at Parker Adventist Hospital; Parker, Colorado.
