Bernard "Bernie" Thayer Cooley
March 4th, 1935 - November 16th, 2019
Bernard "Bernie" Thayer Cooley was a truck driver and a long time resident of Lakewood, Colorado. He passed away November 16, 2019 at the age of 84. Bernie is survived by his loving wife Bernice of 54 years, and his three children, Cary Cooley, Kimie Cooley and Candy Weiner and two grandchildren, Jacob Weiner and Jenece Weiner and his brother Lowell Cooley. He ws born in Alton Kansas on March 4, 1935 to James Burtis and Gertrude Cooley. He was a graduate of West High School in Denver in 1954. Following graduation he spent four years in the United States Army. On April 30, 1965 he and Bernice got married. He was a proud Teamster for 61 years, Big Horn Caravan for 31 years, and a Bonvue Water Board Member for 28 years. Bernie loved to Travel in the U.S. to visit his family and friends. Bernie will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Militarty Honors were at : Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
