Victor Michael Schnur
August 18th, 1970 - January 28th, 2020
It is with deepest sorrow, we announce that our son, Victor M. Schnur, age 49, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was born in Denver to the parents of Richard and Sheila Schnur and was the oldest of their two children. Victor was on the swim team and played the trumpet during high school and played in the Westminster High School marching band. After graduating from high school, in 1988, Victor enlisted in the US Navy. He served in Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf on the USS Wisconsin. Victor’s hobby was racing in the demolition derby, where he won many awards. He had a blast on the track and put a smile on everyone’s face as he drove past in “The Turtle” with “thanks, grandma!” written on the side of his race car. His first loves were rock music and cars, his true love was his family. Victor was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Richard Schnur. Victor is survived by his three daughters, Victoria, Madison and Hanna. His parents, Richard Schnur, Sheila Zissimos and step-father, Jim Zissimos. His sisters, Pamela Grainger, Christel Hess and Stephanie Zissimos. His brothers, Michael Zissimos and George Zissimos. A heartfelt thank you to Jenny Conyers for loving Victor and his girls with all your heart and soul. You are such an incredible part of our family. Thanks so much, to Jenny Conyers for all you have done for Victor and his children. Victor touched so many lives and will be remembered as a kind, gentle, peaceful, funny and humble man.
