Dennis Ray Wood 1941-2021 Dennis Ray Wood born August 1,1941 passed away on August 19, 2021. Dennis was born in Winona, West Virginia to Ernest W. Wood and Genevieve B. Wood (nee Miller). He graduated from Sherman High School in Seth, West Virginia in May 1960. Dennis served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1966. Dennis was affectionally know by his friends as Haircut or Hoppy. Uncle Hair was the best uncle and was dearly loved by his nieces and nephews. His eyes would light up when he spoke of his family. He was proud of his family. Everyone who knew Dennis loved him for his sense of humor and the love of his family. Dennis is survived by his sister Andrea Wood, and his brothers George and Sherman Wood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a friend, Dana Ashton. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
