In Loving Memory
Anthony Bernard Pressley, 68, of Columbia, SC passed away on June 13 2024.
Anthony was born in Wilmington, Delaware, February 1, 1956 to parents Martha Pressley and Walter Cheeks.
He is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Fannie Simpson, Gail Wright, Arthur Pressley, and Dale Pressley.
He is survived by his daughter, Alashia Pressley; grandson, Aiden Smith; and siblings, Evette Brown-Daniels, Hurley Cheeks, Robert Cheeks, James Cheeks, and Anita Cheeks.
He enjoyed listening to music, driving his Ford 250 that he was very proud of, and watching sports, especially football and basketball. He was also an Army veteran and retired from his infantry unit. Those who knew him and were close to him remember him for being friendly, never knowing a stranger. He was also known to be giving and would have given anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. He prided himself in being a father.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 4pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with a visitation one hour prior.
