Beverly Jean Mattson, 68 of Cloquet, died Monday, May 14, 2007 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. She was born in 1939 and was a 1957 graduate of Floodwood High School. Beverly married Richard "Scoop" Mattson on December 14, 1957 in Floodwood. Bev was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her love of dealing with people and her wonderful sense of humor enabled her to be a very successful Real Estate Agent for more than 20 years. For the last 7 years, Bev was the owner/broker of Prism Realty. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce. Bev loved spending time with her grandchildren and at the family cabin on Big Sandy Lake. She enjoyed knitting and loved to shop, especially for her family at Christmas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Beverly is survived by her husband, Richard "Scoop" Mattson of Cloquet; her children, Wendy (Jim) Gamache, Greg (Debbie) Mattson, Jodi (Darin) Miller and Steve Mattson, all of Esko; three sisters, Eileen Sparring of Cloquet, Betty (Tony) Raich of Meadowlands and Mary Ann (Bob) Sillanpaa of Ripon, WI; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.
