Donald Sixten Westerham

Donald Sixten Westerham, 82, of Cloquet, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center, Duluth. He was born in 1927 in Cloquet, the son of Sixten and Mary Jane Westerham. Don worked for Northwest Paper Company for 43 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Potlatch Quarter Century Club and Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; a sister, Mary Jane Wenberg and a niece, Lisa Wenberg. Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce of Cloquet; his children, Debra (Dorin) Langley of Cloquet, Denise (Fred) Swanson of Paducah, KY, Keith Westerham (Peggy Klinga) of Cloquet, Joy (Scott) Eskuri of Esko and Matthew (Debra) Pykkonen of Soddy Daisy, TN; two brothers, Eugene (Pat) Westerham of Tucson, AZ and Marinus (Marge) Westerham of Woodbury; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff in the Willows at Chris Jensen for their compassionate care given to Donald. Memorial Services were held on Friday, September 24, 2010 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, followed by refreshments in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the hospice of giver's choice.
