Kenneth "Pete" Danielson, 57, of Cloquet, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cloquet, the son of James and Maureen Danielson. Pete was a 1976 graduate of Cloquet High School. Pete married Sharon Pajunen on December 23, 1977 in Superior. He served in the US Army for a total of 12 ½ years as a paratrooper. Pete was a truck driver for Upper Lakes Foods for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and niece, Jessica, snowmobiling, and teasing and pushing everyone's buttons. Pete was an everyday "handy man" and especially enjoyed telling stories. He was preceded in death by his father, James Danielson; brother, James Danielson, II; and mother-in-law, Marian Pajunen. Pete is survived by his wife, Sharon of Cloquet; sons, Chris (Ingrid) of Burnsville and Steve of Cloquet; mother, Maureen (Adrian) Vorderbruggen of Cloquet; brothers, Philip (Mitzie) Danielson of Houston, TX, Tom (Margie) Danielson of Katy, TX and Andy (Stevie) Danielson of Moose Lake; sisters, Michele Walker (Dale Abbott) of Sedro-Woolley, WA and Jami (Guy) Kalm of Beaufort, NC; father-in-law, David (Judy) Pajunen, Sr. of Chisholm; brother-in-law, David Pajunen (Justin Hensel) of Duluth; sister-in-law, Sandy (Mike) Smart of Cloquet; niece and "the daughter he never had", Jessica "Nicole" Smart of Cloquet; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 12, 2015 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Lunch followed in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
