William Ruuska, 96 of Floodwood formerly of Ishpeming, Michigan died Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Villa Vista Care Center in Cromwell. He was born March 29, 1911 in Republic, Michigan to John and Hilda Ruuska. William was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; a grandson, Brian Kangas; and nine siblings. He is survived by his children, Darlene (Martin) Tuominen of Floodwood, Vernon (Diana) of Dallas, Texas, Marvin (Barbara), Robert, David (Hazel), Ronald (Marie), Raymond (Kathryn) and Dale (Lynn) all of Minneapolis; 18 grandchildren, five step grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, 26 step great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Hilda Prusi of Cloquet; and a host of brothers and sisters in faith. Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 in the Cedar Valley Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church. Burial was in Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee, Michigan.
