Anna Marie Dunlap

Anna Marie Dunlap, 64, of Sandstone, formerly of Floodwood died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 26, 1944 in Floodwood to Henry and Sophie Ruzynski. She graduated from Floodwood High School in 1962. After graduation, Anna worked as a Nurse's Aide at St. Luke's Hospital until she married Richard "Bill" Goutermont on Aug. 7, 1965. They made their home in Embarrass and later Finland. In 1979, Anna moved back to Floodwood. She worked at Conwed until 1984 then at Floodwood Industries until 1986. For one year she worked as a nanny in Texas. Returning to Floodwood, Anna then went to work for Senior Friends until 1991. She enjoyed gardening, raising farm animals and attending family barn dances. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Goutermont, father, Henry Ruzynski, step-father, Oliver Karkiainen, and a nephew, Jerry Ruzynski. She is survived by her children, Dawn (Don Bogle) Runquist of Hibbing and Daniel (Michelle) Goutermont of Cromwell; her mother, Sophie Karkiainen of Floodwood; brothers, Tony Ruzynski, Pete (Sally) Ruzynski, Fred (Mary) Ruzynski all of Floodwood, and George (June) Ruzynski of Forest Lake; sisters, Olga "Yogi" Kemp of Floodwood and Mary (Doug) Gunderson of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren, Codi and Tyler Goutermont, Megan and Ruth Goutermont, Hannah Reiswig, and Kaitlyn Runquist; three great grandchildren, Nia, Natravius, and Nakayla Goutermont; special caregiver, Lynette Waldo of Sandstone; and special friend, Dale Whitson of Floodwood. Memorial Service were held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 in the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship followed in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
