Randy Paul Schultz
August 19th, 1959 - August 21st, 2008
Randy Paul Schultz, 49 of Esko went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 21, 2008. He was born August 19, 1959 in Montevideo, Minn. to Oliver and Dolores Schultz. He grew up in Long Prairie and Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1977. He graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul in 1981 and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1985 where he also received his D. Min. Randy married Mary Marxhausen on August 8, 1981 in White Bear Lake. He served as pastor in several churches in Wisconsin and Minnesota including St. Paul's Lutheran in Merrill, Wisc., Good Shepherd Lutheran in Watertown, Wisc., Trinity Lutheran in Freistadt, Wisc., St. Matthew's Lutheran and Breath of Life both in Esko, and the Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle. Randy was very dedicated to the Lord. For the past five years Randy worked as a financial advisor. He was a member and past president of the Esko Music Boosters. He announced Basketball games at the Esko High School. He participated in worship team and singing with his family. Randy also enjoyed home projects and traveling. Randy was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Victor Marxhausen, and sister-in-law, Barbara Schultz. Randy was a dedicated and loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary; children, Zakery (Sarah) Warren of Idaho Falls, ID, Bethany, Micah, Jordyn, Reba, and Rachel Schultz all of Esko; two grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Warren of Idaho Falls, ID; parents, Oliver and Dolores Schultz of Eau Claire, WI; brothers, Gary (Nan) of Wausau, WI, Wyatt (Lynne) of Houston, TX, and Mark of Louisville, KY; mother-in-law, Evelyn Marxhausen of Woodbury; brothers-in-law, Tim (Chris Larson) Marxhausen of Minneapolis, and Jon (Dawn) Marxhausen of Woodbury; sister-in-law, Martha (Tom) Kaufenberg of North St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Randy's Life was held on Monday, August 25, 2008 in the Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle, 1400 Washington Ave. in Cloquet.
