Doris Eleanor Carlson, 87 of Cloquet passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born October 21, 1928 in Finlayson to John and Vendla Carlson. She grew up in Cromwell and graduated from Cromwell High School in 1948. After high school Doris worked as a special dietary cook at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. Doris graduated from Business School in 1953. She worked as an accountant for Western Electric in Duluth for six years and then went to work at Northshore Manufacturing Co. in the accounting department until 1973. Doris was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell, Lenox Place Club, Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary Chapter 18. Doris loved to travel, cook, bake and read. Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Maki; and brothers, James and Reynold Carlson. She is survived by sisters, Lorraine Darker of Duluth, Elaine Wallin of Esko, Jeanette (Raymond) Worgren of Cloquet, and Nancy Gilberg of Cloquet; sister-in-law, Nancy Carlson of Cloquet; and several nieces and nephews.
