Elizabeth "Betty" Jensen, 81 of Cloquet died Sunday, January 30, 2005 in her home. She was born January 16, 1924 in Cloquet to Everett and Hazel (Hagen) Prevost. Betty graduated from Cloquet High School in 1940 at the age of 16. She attended Duluth Business University. Betty worked at Northwest Paper Company in the Administrative offices until her marriage to Harry Jensen in 1957. Betty was an active, lifelong member at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, a member of the Friday Club, and a former member of the Cloquet Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, playing bridge, and traveling around the world. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and a brother, Douglas Prevost. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Norgren of Little Falls; sisters-in-law, Margaret Prevost and Helen Jensen both of Cloquet; and eight nieces and nephews, Laurie (David) Bennefeld of Ramsey, Del (Penney) Prevost of Cloquet, Royal (Mary) Prevost of Eden Prairie, Ross (Nadine) Norgren of Long Prairie, DeAnne (Mark) Seifert of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., Mark (Cathy) Norgren of Kenai, Alaska, Charles W. Jensen of Oakdale, and Kathleen (John) Stamm of Sedona, Arizona and their families. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
