Sharon Lee Broeffle, 67 of Cloquet died Sunday, March 17, 2013 in her home. She was born April 27, 1945 in Carlton to Alpheus and Lucille Sweet. She grew up in Mahtowa and graduated from Barnum High School in 1963. Sharon was together with Robert Broeffle since 1970, making their home in Sawyer before moving to Cloquet in 1996. Sharon was an Adult Foster Care Provider for 18 years. Sharon loved animals, particularly her parrots, chickens, and her dog, Hairy. She enjoyed having daily breakfast with her many friends at Family Traditions. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Michael; and two grandsons, Ricky and Joey Higbee. She is survived by three sons, Mark Broeffle of Wrenshall, James (Amy McArdell) Broeffle of Chaska, Minn., and Timothy (Wendy) Broeffle of Duluth; three daughters, Doreen (Larry) Ward of Duluth, Candi (Michael Latimore) Broeffle of Moose Lake, and Mary (John) Isakson of Owatonna; 8 grandchildren, Jonathan Broeffle, Jeremia Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell, Alexander Broeffle, Ashley Broeffle, Rebecca Broeffle, Taylor Isakson, and Sidney Isakson; two sisters, Barbara (John) Lund and Alida (Don) Pieti both of Mahtowa; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends was held Friday, March 22, 2013 in the Fireside Room of the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
