November 25th, 1940 - March 15th, 2017
Dale "Spud" Emmett Felknor, 76, of Floodwood, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in his home. He was born in 1940 in Elmer, the son of Donald and Lucinda Felknor. He grew up in Elmer and then moved to Floodwood where he has resided for 56 years. Dale worked for Carlton County Coop Power for 10 years, was a cement mason for several years and then worked as a logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, watching the birds and deer, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Felknor; siblings, Gerald Felknor, Elvin Kadin, Kermit Kadin, and infant siblings, Eunice and Andrew Kadin. Dale is survived by his children, A. Charles Felknor of Floodwood, Wendy (Chris) Larsen of Palm Springs, FL and Gina (Terry) Davis of Floodwood; the mother of his children, Mary Felknor of Floodwood; grandchildren, Jennifer Heine, Loren (Julie) Heine, and Hilary Hendrickson; step-grandchildren, Heather Herrmann, Nick Bock, Caine Davis and Jaimen Davis; great grandchildren, Savannah, Madison, and baby boy Heine due to arrive in several weeks; brothers, Jay Kadin of Brookston and Clark (Karen) Felknor of Meadowlands; and sisters, Irma (John) Robison of Duluth, Mary Lou Powers of Floodwood, Clarice Zauhar of Gordon, WI and Gayle (John) Suonvieri of Floodwood and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service, Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Hope Lutheran Church in Floodwood.
