Joan Wuollet, 82 of Esko died Monday, August 20, 2018 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born May 27, 1936 in Cloquet to Roy and Grace Cook. Joan graduated from Cloquet High School in 1954. On July 14, 1956, she married Edward Wuollet and together they raised three sons. Joan was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, camping, playing games, feeding and watching birds, flower gardening, and helping others. She was fondly known as "GG" by her great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; four brothers, Punky, Jerry, Jim, and Bud Cook; and two sisters, Alice Olson and Lee Pouti. She is survived and will be sadly missed by three sons, Marty (JoAnn) of International Falls, Jodie (Terra Snyder) of Duluth, and Todd (Bev) of Jordan; grandchildren, Teri (Ryan) Zub, Josh Wuollet, Tasha Wuollet, Christian (Shi) Wuollet, Abi (Chris) Houdek, Katie Wuollet, and Faith Wuollet; great grandchildren, Landon and Addy Zub, Cylas Houdek and Rio Wuollet. Gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Fireside Room of the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
