Alice E. Nelson

Alice E. Nelson, 93 of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at North Shore Estates in Duluth. She was a resident of Evergreen Senior Living for many years prior to her recent move to North Shore Estates. She was born on March 29, 1925 to John and Mary Jacksie in Cloquet, where she also attended school. Alice was united in marriage to Nels Nelson on September 25, 1943. She was a lifetime member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Alice was a fantastic homemaker and an incredible artist. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. Alice will be remembered for her quick wit and humor. She was always being a jokester. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Judy Ann, infant son; and 3 siblings. Alice is survived by her children, Gordon (Georgette) Nelson of Valrico, FL, Larry Nelson of West Palm, FL, Jeffrey (Sherri) Nelson of St. Augustine, FL, Randolph (Caroline) Nelson of Cloquet, Lori (Kevin) Westerberg of Cambridge; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th Street Cloquet. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
