Michael David Olson

Michael David Olson, 54 of Tamarack passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born September 9, 1965 in Golden Valley to Rodney and Irene Olson. In 1979 the family moved to Tamarack. Mike graduated from Cromwell High School in 1984. Mike worked for Floe International making docks for a short time. Mike is most known for the many years he worked as a bartender at Whispering Pines. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Tamarack Sno-Flyers, and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and critiquing. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Larry, Myron and Bill; and his faithful four legged companion, Amber. He is survived by two children, Richard (Makaila) Olson of Souix Falls, SD and Lucy (Caleb Cochran) Rian of Aitkin; brothers, Rick (Kathy) of Cromwell and Mark (Danni) of St. Michael; sisters, Diane (Joe) Lehn Eide of Champlin and Lynn (Herman) Hakala of Cromwell; two grandchildren, Eva and Carter Olson; and special family friend, Elissa Judd. Visitation: 1:00 until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service Friday, October 25, 2019 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
