Marilyn Jean "Jeanne" Hansen, 84 of Cromwell passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Cardinal Courts, Cromwell. She was born November 9, 1935 in Cloquet to Carl and Alma Maki. She married Lincoln Hansen on January 5, 1955. They made their home in Cromwell, where she loved every moment of being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. To say she was proud of her family is an understatement. Jeanne was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, she never drove by a rummage sale and never passed up an opportunity to get together with her many cherished friends. Jeanne was preceded in death by her son, Stuart Hansen; parents; Carl and Alma Maki; son in law, William Rowell; sister, Judy Heikkila; brother, Sam Maki; sister-in-law, Sheila Maki; and brother-in-law, David Sarkela She is survived by her husband, Lincoln; daughter, Karee Rowell; son, Reece (Janet) Hansen; grandchildren, Mindy (Jer) Hoover, Mason (Stephanie) Hansen, Tara (Rachel) Hansen, Thomas (April) Hansen; great grandchildren, Emmalee, Levi, Augustus, Hannah, and one great grandchild to arrive in July; sister, Kathie Sarkela; and brother, Pete (Eileen) Maki; brother-in-law, Laird (Julie Ann) Hansen; nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Visitation: 10 until the 12:00 p.m. Memorial Service Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Bethany Lutheran Church, 5660 Hwy 210 ,Cromwell. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Inurnment will be in the spring in Forest Hill Cemetery, Cromwell.
