October 16th, 1941 - March 11th, 2021
John Saline, 79 of Cloquet passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. He was born October 16, 1941 in Solway Township to Waino and Signe Saline. He graduated from Proctor High School in 1959. From 1964 until 1966 he served in the US Army. He was a farmer all of his life starting with dairy cows and in 2000 transitioned to Black Angus beef cattle. John was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Tan, Annie Sutherland, and Rachel Mattson; and brothers, Donald and Wayne. He is survived by his brother, Charles (Cookie) Saline of Cloquet; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2:00 until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Masks and social distancing are required. From the funeral home parking lot, the service can be heard on FM 98.3. A video recording of the service will be available on the funeral home website Wednesday evening.
