Duane Carl Johnson, 59, of Cloquet passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in his home. He was born on November 8, 1962, in Cloquet to Carl and Janet (Koski) Johnson. He was raised in Barnum and graduated from high school in 1981. He attended Duluth Area Vo Tech. Duane married Tammie Johnson on October 31, 1999, Duane served in the US Navy from November of 1987 to November of 1990. He was a truck driver for the Michels pipeline and worked for Cap Trico and Moses Chevrolet. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Johnson. Duane will be missed by his wife, Tammie; mother, Janet Johnson; daughter, Katherine Johnson; brothers, Danny, David, and Darrell; sisters-in-law, Kathy and Karin; nephews, James, Jason, Jeremiah, and Eli; nieces, Sarah, Claire, Zoe, and Anja; and many cousins. A graveside service will be held at Atkinson Community Cemetery in Atkinson on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m with military honors by the Clouqet Combined Honor Guard. A luncheon will follow at the home of Daniel and Kathy Johnson, 1934 Thomas Road, Mahtowa.
