Ruben Robert Reynolds (July 25th, 1934-October 13th, 2023) Ruben Robert Reynolds, dedicated husband, amazing father, and valued friend, 89 years old, passed away on Friday, October 13th, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN, surrounded by people who loved him. Ruben was born on July 25th, 1934 in Cloquet, MN to parents Melvin and Agnes Reynolds. Ruben graduated from Cloquet High School in June 1953, after which he enlisted and served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Ruben returned home and started employment at the Northwest Paper Mill in Cloquet, MN in 1960, where he worked until his retirement in 1999. Ruben met his wife Ada and married in 1965, settling in Cloquet, MN where they celebrated life together until his passing. Ruben and Ada raised five children together, enjoyed watching their many grandchildren be born and thrive, traveled much of the world, were spoiled with exceptional friendships, lived a life of faith, and appreciated each moment they had together. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Agnes Reynolds; his sister, Donna Mae Reynolds; brother, Vernon Reynolds; daughter Marie Johnson; and beloved pet Roxxanne. Ruben is survived by his wife Ada; children, Charles, Sharon, and Noel; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruben’s candle never dimmed, no matter how many lives brightened. He will be greatly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever appreciated. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 515 Skyline Blvd, Cloquet, MN. Burial will be immediately after the service at Maple Grove Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN.
