Paul E. Scheuer

Paul Eugene Scheuer of St. Paul, Minnesota, died on February 14th, 2022 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Paul was born December 31, 1960 in Ely, Minnesota. He was a 1979 graduate of Ely Memorial High School and earned his bachelor's degree from St. John's University of Collegeville in 1983. Paul was employed as an analyst with Prudential and Hartford insurance companies for over 35 years, retiring in the fall of 2020. Paul's kind nature was extended to all, and he had a special interest in youth. Paul was involved in the Big Brother program, and throughout the years, he enjoyed coaching eighth grade girls' basketball in Maple Grove, Osseo, and Wayzata. Paul was active in tennis leagues, enjoyed golfing, and spent many hours collecting post cards. Paul is survived by longtime friend Jeanne Obert, brothers Karl Scheuer and John Scheuer, sisters Gretchen (Brad) Bensen, Veronica (Warren) Olsen, Anna (Keith) Larson, and Nichole (Duane) Farkas, sister-in-law Xiao Xiao Cao Scheuer, nieces and nephews Bronte, Peter Jr., Brandise, Eugene, Danielle, Timothy, Benedict, John, Kyle, Andrew, Louis, Gretchen, Matt, and Will, great niece and nephew Emily and Marcus, and foreign exchange student brothers, Luiz, Garry, and Jorge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Katherine Scheuer, and his brother Peter Scheuer. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 21 from 4 to 8 pm with a service commencing at 7pm at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul, MN. Burial will late place at a later date in Ely, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Katherine Scheuer, and his brother Peter Scheuer.
