Gregory Lee Beach

Gregory "Greg" "G" Lee Beach, 71, of West St. Paul, passed away on May 2nd, 2021 after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was the only child of John and Sarah (née Ayers) Beach, born on May 30, 1949 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. Greg worked in various positions throughout his life, most notably as a Minnesota State Employee until his retirement. His love of music was a cornerstone in his life, so many that knew him recall memories of him on stage, or wandering around the house, with his bass guitar in hand. He fondly shared stories of attending Woodstock, teaching himself to play the bass, and reminiscing about various gigs. Greg loved the Far Side comics and "dad jokes", filling the air with his laughter. He had a passion for reading and random trivia; he loved to share that knowledge with anyone that was interested in a good conversation or debate. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, daughter Amanda Jepson (Jacob), son James (Angie), stepdaughter Tina Peterson (Cory), stepdaughter Denise Hickerson (Tony), stepdaughter Jessica Osen (Branden), and stepson Curtis Shefland (Chantell). He was always exuberantly happy to be grandpa to Zoe, Penelope, Tristen, Claire, Phillip, Cherokee, Tiarah, Toniea, Denaé’, Tony 2, Denzel, Javon, Monte, Hunter, and Caleb; and great grandfather to Akelius, Cherokee II, Dezinaya, Shamaria, Kyra, DJ, and Jasiah. He was preceded in death by John Beach, Sarah Beach, and the beloved Mr. Kitty Lee.
