Willwerscheid Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Grand Avenue
Bonnie Jean LaChance Rainford
November 30th, 0002 - January 15th, 2018
Age 88, died Jan. 15 from vascular disease. She lost her husband Darrel Rainford to multiple myeloma in 2005. She is survived by many friends and relatives, 17 grands, 6 great-grands, and 7 children including Robin Rainford (John Deininger), Karen Rainford EdD (Paul Osika), Patrick Rainford, Wendy Rainford (Steve McKee), Gerry Rainford (Janet Rainford), Darla Rainford and Neil Rainford (Michelle Meyer). Bonnie loved children and they were her life's focus. Born Mar 14, 1929 in Turton SD, Bonnie was the youngest of 7 born to Frederick LaChance and Ella Rahm. She taught school in SD and then moved to Minnesota for Darrel’s job with Northwest Airlines/Delta. Bonnie’s motto was “the more the merrier” as she welcomed friends and relatives to her home. She won the hearts of children on her school bus routes for ISD197. She continued square dancing into her 80s and was an active grandma leading card games, scrabble, sledding and biking. Bonnie also volunteered as a librarian for St Stanislaus Catholic Church and as an elementary school reading tutor. On Saturday, Jan 27, a 10 am Gathering of Friends and 11 am Memorial Service/Reception will be held at Easter Lutheran Church, 4200 Pilot Knob Rd, Eagan. Private burial. Our family appreciates the support of her friends, HealthEast Hospice and Brookdale Eagan Memory Care.
