Mary Barbara Ales Utecht, age 61, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on April 25, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, George Utecht, infant sister, Mary Ann, and brother in law Howard Freemire. Mary was the best friend and wife of Mark “Dino” Ales; daughter of George and Patricia Utecht; sister of Ann Freemire, Joe (Margaret) Utecht, Jane (Tony) Olberding, Jerry (Tina) Utecht, Margie Utecht; in-laws Georgia Lynch, Pat Ales, Gary (Jean) Ales. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary always brought the fun and the “K bars” to family gatherings. Mary will also be missed by many dear cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM, Tuesday, May 2 at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord, 1900 Stanford, St Paul. Visitation 4-7PM Monday, May 1 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St Paul, 651-228-1006 and at church 1 hour before the Mass. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Lyngblomsten for their loving care for our Mary.
