Edmund "Carl" C. Richmond

Carl Richmond passed away peacefully in St. Paul, MN on February 19, 2016 at the age of 87. Carl was born in Elma, IA on March 11, 1928 to Edmund and Esther Richmond. He attended Loras College and the University of Iowa before serving in the Army. After finishing his degree at the U of M he spent a full career as an auditor for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. He was well-known for his quick smile and sense of humor. His business accomplishments were secondary to the pride he took in his family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mary Jane (Beecher) Richmond, and 2 step sisters; Luva Mohrfield and Ernestine. He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen McGrath, his children: Bill (Vicky) Richmond, Carla (Dan) Anderson, Jane (Steve) Conlin, Paul (Alicia) Richmond and John (Jodi) Richmond, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, February 26 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Stanford at Prior, St. Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul. Memorials can be sent to the Nativity School Scholarship Fund or a charity of your choice.
