John Scott Christensen

John Scott Christensen, 69, a longtime resident of Saint Paul, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 14th, 2024. John was preceded in death by his father Russell Christensen, mother Carolyn Thayer Christensen, brother Terry, and aunt Joan Thayer. He leaves behind his beloved lifetime partner Francisco Vuong-Deo-Campo, brother David, (Vicki), many nieces and nephews including, Frannie, Terry, Alex, Vanessa, Vincent, Lynn, Derek and Alina. He was born March 14th, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a graduate of both Central Lakes College and the University of Minnesota. A lifelong learner, John stayed curious and was quick to recommend published articles, books and various educational materials. He had a way with words; a convincing conversationalist and persuasive writer, but also an active listener. He had a strong appreciation for the arts and regularly attended shows at the Ordway, Guthrie Theater and other unique venues across the country. Though John did not have children of his own, he was an even-keeled parental figure. He often talked about the importance of manifesting and working towards one’s goals to find fulfillment in life. Best of all, he had an impeccable sense of style: Oftentimes donning earth-toned shirts, cargo pants, tan jackets and his signature fanny pack. He was a jack of all trades and a man of unwavering integrity who will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
