January 1st, 1968 - December 25th, 2023
Richard (Rick) William Bauer, 55, of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. A child born on New Year’s Day and passed away on Christmas Day was special in so many ways. Rick faced demons, but his heart was filled with gold. He was a beautiful person inside and out. Gentle in spirit, quick witted and he had an amazing sense of humor. He will be missed forever. For many years, Rick worked at the Kohl Center in Madison. It was the perfect job for someone who loved all sports as much as he did. Rick loved listening to music and going to concerts. He enjoyed sports and he followed the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks. He had an extensive collection of baseball cards, and he spent hours organizing his cards. He was an avid road tripper. He had great stories about knowing Chris Farley. He was also a proud friend of Bill W. Rick left behind a loving mother, Betty (Joe), sons, Noah and Gabe and a daughter, Adrianna. Aunts, Rosie Bauer, Shelly Curtiss (Bill), uncle, Jim Bauer. Cousins, Dan Bauer (Michelle), Lee Ann Damrow (Jamie), Brandon Bauer (Mary). A close friend, Brenda Leiske. He loved and was loved by his dog, Fluffy. We Entrusted Richard Bauer's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
