Lynn Rae Willoughby, 54 of Esko, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 6, 2008. She was born in Cloquet, the daughter of Kenneth and Marylis Johnson. She married Harvey Willoughby on August 7, 1988 in Las Vegas. Lynn had been employed by Diamond Match for 15 years until 1987. She then attended UWS where she received her undergraduate degree and graduated from UMD with a Masters in Psychology. Lynn had worked at Phoenix Treatment Center, Lutheran Social Services and for the last 15 years has been an instructor in Human Relations and Psychology at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Cloquet. She loved to go shopping for her granddaughter and enjoyed going to rummage sales and thrift stores. Lynn enjoyed bowling and she and Harvey bowled for several years on a couple's league. She served on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norbert Marshalek in 1984 and her parents. Lynn is survived by her husband, Harvey; her daughter, Kim Marshalek of Esko; granddaughter, Nicole; a brother, Vern Johnson from the Twin Cities; a sister, Rose Caddy of Crosby; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Dennis) Painter of Cloquet and Karen (Kenneth) Polston of Iron River, WI; a brother-in-law, Robert (Julie) Willoughby of Racine, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Northland Funeral Home.
