Cheryl Ann Bok, 52, of Saginaw died Sunday, October 13, 2013. Cheryl was born to Jacob and Ann Bok on September 6, 1961 in Hibbing. Cheryl grew up in Meadowlands and graduated from Toivola-Meadowlands High School in 1979. After high school she lived in Oregon for a short time before returning to Minnesota. She was very proud of her home in Saginaw where she lived for more than 30 years. Cheryl was a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) for Prindle Jones Insurance Company for many years. She worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses for the remainder of her career. She had a passion for horticulture, animals, photography and was an excellent cook. Cheryl was a strong supporter of Animal Allies. One of her favorite pets was her cat Tiny and she currently was proud of her dog Yogi and two cats Smoky and Missy. She was preceded in death by her best friends, "Mimi" Hill and Betty Polo and her shih tzu, Ebony. Cheryl is survived by her parents, Jacob and Ann Bok of Meadowlands; sister, Joan (Gary) Nelson of Saginaw; brothers, Andrew Bok of Reno, NV and Robert (Ernestine) Bok of Eugene, OR; very special friend, Mike Salo of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Judy Bok of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews including special nephew, Gary Nelson Jr. and special niece, Beverly (Michael) Culver. Memorial Services were held on Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
