Erma Lucille Anderson, 91, formerly of McGregor, passed away April 26, 2012 in Villa Vista, Cromwell, MN, as a result of a stroke and heart attack. Erma was born December 20, 1920 to John and Anna Balts in Cadott, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage April 15, 1950 to Rueben C. Anderson of McGregor. Together, they made their home on a farm near McGregor from 1960 until 2011. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their three children. Other interests included sewing, crafts, reading, shopping with her girls, lunch out with her son, babysitting her five grandchildren and visits with friends and relatives. She was a member of Sheriff Lake Gospel Tabernacle, Tamarack Golden Age Club and the East Lake Mission Circle. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Balts; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred (Glorence) Christianson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Carrie) Balts, Leonard (Anita) Balts, Lester (Esther) Balts and Phillip Balts; brothers-in-law, Everett Johnson and Harold Anderson and sisters-in-law, Milly (Gunnar)Sundberg and Minnie (Edwin) Haapanen. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rueben Anderson of Cromwell; daughters, Elaine (Randy) Johnson of McGregor and Jan (Ken) Seibert of Warba; son, Richard (Deb) Anderson of McGregor; granddaughters, Leah Johnson and Angie (Ken) Beissel; grandson, Mike (Brandy) Anderson, Ryan Anderson and Tim Anderson; great grandchildren, Tanor, Ella, Asher and Layla Anderson; sister, Verna Johnson of Zimmerman, MN; sister-in-law, Orpha Balts of Cadott, WI and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held on Friday, May 4, 2012 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the Fireside Room. Burial was in Sheriff Lake Cemetery.
