Daniel Vincent Webster, 74 of Tamarack, MN died on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was born in 1934 to Oscar and Clara Webster in St. Peter, MN. In 1963, Daniel married Margaret Olson and moved to the Tamarack area. His life's work involved teaching agriculture and science to youth and adults. Dan and Margaret received the Farmer's Voice Award in 2007. His latest project was to revitalize rural communities by stimulating production of energy from natural grasses in the local area. If Dan wasn't playing cribbage or working with wood, he was serving in the needs of his community. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Cromwell, the Farmer's Union, Aitkin County DFL and the Farmhouse Fraternity. He served as President of the Lakeside Community Club, organized the "Wright Ways" 4-H club, served as President of the PTA and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Tamarack Sportsman Club. He supported the Harvest Festival and Sustainable Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold and a sister, Anne Kruel. Daniel is survived by his wife, Margaret Olson Webster of Tamarack; four children, Paul Webster (Kris Carlson) and family of Esko; Kaija Webster (Dean Einerson), Perry (Samantha) Webster and family, and Andrew Webster (Erin DeWitt) and family all of Duluth; one brother, William Alfred (Mary) Webster of Aitkin; three sisters, Marilyn (Patrick) Gleason of Kansas, Janice (Fred) Prell of New York and Karen (Mike) Susag of Montana. "Don't mourn me…Get to work!" Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 in Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Wright.
