Jasper Alan Youngren, 18, of Carlton died Friday, September 10, 2010 from injuries sustained from a fall while hiking the bluffs surrounding Winona where he was a freshman at Winona State University. He was a 2010 graduate of Carlton High School. Jasper enjoyed playing basketball, golf, soccer, poker, football and video games. He also enjoyed eating chicken wings, coaching, reading, music of all kinds, traveling to see the world, and hanging out and partying with his friends. His zestful passion for life and sports provided him with a huge circle of friends. He was always eager to make new friends wherever he went and add them to his ever growing group. Jasper had an incredible ability to make people laugh with his quick wit, quips, and impeccable timing. When Jasper picked any path, he would pursue that path with passion. He always had a theory and though his theory might change from day to day, he would adamantly express and defend it. A generous person, Jasper will always be remembered for his willingness to help out anyone in need, no matter the consequences. Jasper is survived by his parents, Lee Youngren-Manty and Rick Manty; brothers, Lance (Rachel) Manty and Adam (Karen) Manty; grandparents, Ron and Kathy Youngren and Mary and Leo Manty; aunts and uncles, Chris and Julie Youngren, Lisa and Randy Johnson and Greg and Connie Manty; cousins, Andrew Youngren and Mike Manty; his father, Mike (Corrine) Burnett; brother, Joshua, and sisters, Catie and Gracie; grandparents, Doug and Elaine Oliver and Charlene and Ken Burnett; aunt, Tammy Burnett; uncles, Bryan Oliver and Greg Burnett and many cousins and friends.
