Gerald "Jerry" Carl Mattson, 65 of Cromwell, died Saturday, May 26, 2007. He was born in 1941 and was a 1960 graduate of Cromwell High School. Jerry married Karen Hill on June 16, 1962 in Cromwell. Jerry retired in 2001 from Potlatch Corporation after 40 years of employment. He was a member of Potlatch Quarter Century Club. Jerry enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen of Cromwell; his four children, Shari (Steve) Hutar of Cromwell, John (Jill) Mattson of Cohasset, Joe (Sarah) Mattson of Britt and Jim Mattson of Cromwell; six grandchildren, Ryan, Jared, Rachel, Annikka, Maija and Wyatt; three sisters, Jane Lindgren of Minneapolis, Shirley (Floyd) Carlson and Betty (Larry) Isaacson, both of Cloquet. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Bethany Lutheran Church, Cromwell. Burial was in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
