Rose Jane Matlock, 77 of Cloquet died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. Rose was born in Duluth to James and Mable Carl. Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence; and sisters, Marie and Isabelle. Rose is survived by her husband, Bernard; sons, Bernard (Shirley) of Grand Rapids, Roger (Mary) of Carlton, and Curtis (Susan) of Cloquet; daughter, Mary (Steven) Issacson of St. Helen's, OR; sisters, Carol Amatuzio of Florida, Janet (Robert) Kujawa of Montivideo, and Janice Geasley of Cloquet; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Rite of Christian Burial was held on Friday, January 25, 2008, in Northland Funeral Home Chapel, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
