Lorraine Marie Angell

Lorraine Marie Angell, 81, of Esko died Monday, March 3, 2008 in Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet. She was born March 2, 1927 in Duluth to Josef and Elisa Colpaert. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1944. Lorraine married Reynold Angell on June 12, 1948 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. During the 1960's Lorraine worked at the Esko Post Office. Later she worked at the Carlton County Treasurer's office for a few years. And during the late 1960's and early 70's she worked at Garon Knitting Mill in Duluth. Lorraine was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a member of a local garden club. At the time when Esko had a fair, she was very active on the flower committee. Lorraine was preceded in death by one brother, Sylvan Colpaert. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Reynold; her son, Alan (Rowena) of Cedar, MN; her daughter, Marie (Kevin) Stumpe of Marion, IA; one brother, Donald Colpaert of Superior; four grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Memorial Services were held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Inurnment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
