Dolly M. Pedersen
November 21st, 1931 - January 17th, 2006
Dolly M. Pedersen, 74, a life-long Culver resident, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. She was born November 21, 1931 in Aitken, the daughter of Robert and Pearl (Payne) Hunter. Dolly married John Pedersen on November 19, 1948 in Cloquet. She worked at Riverview Homes in Brookston for 12 years and then ran an adult foster home until her health forced her retirement. Dolly was a member of Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle. She enjoyed shopping, laughing, cooking, music, reading, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1982, her parents, six brothers, Vern, Alvin, Orlin, Rusty, Ivan and Tex Hunter; three sisters, Mary Hunter, Dorothy Dahl and Una Posey. Dolly is survived by four daughters, Joan Pedersen, Debbie Mager, Eva (Steve) Broberg and Rita (Dwayne) Wait all of Cloquet; three sons, Daniel and Jim (Lisa), both of Culver, and David (Julie) of Esko; 11 grandchildren, Valerie Mager, John Pedersen, Bethany Broberg, Amanda Pedersen, Krista Broberg, Breanne Pedersen, Kyle Broberg, Kodie Pedersen, Jenna Broberg, Heidi Haliday and Nick Johnson; six sisters, Darlene Welsh, Dusty Andreoni, Donna First, Lilly DeLuca, Lila Clemens and Mildred Lehman; two brothers, Wesley and Dale Hunter; two brothers-in-law, Norm Lillo of Brookston and Charles (Olga) Pedersen of Carlton; a sister-in-law, Diane Hansen of Brookston; many extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Russ, Dr. Maddy, Dr. Kanakiriya, Fresenius Dialysis Staff; Senior Friends at Larsen Commons; the staff at Lakeshore Lutheran Home; and the medical and hospital staff at Miller-Dwan and St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate and loving care of Dolly with special thanks to those who prayed for and supported Dolly and her family through her illness. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2006 in Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 21, 2006 from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service in Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
